So I'm a total slacker...

Mother's Day was TWO weeks ago and I am just now getting around to blogging about it. It was, of course, monumental for me because it was my first Mother's Day. I can't describe how happy I am to finally be a mom! Cole is the greatest kid ever. He makes me laugh on a daily basis and he is such a frickin' happy kid! I love him so much...anyway, back to MY day.

Travis was home for the weekend which was awesome because I think I might have held that one against him for a very long time:) He got my windows tinted on my car, which I needed desperately because as it gets hotter and brighter, Cole is suffering the consequences. He also got me some beautiful flowers (which he arranged himself, thank you very much!). And best of all my sister Lou came over bright and early and helped Travis make me breakfast in bed. I hardly did anything all day and then Travis took me to a MOVIE!! We hadn't been on a date with just him and me since before Cole was born!! Louisa watched him while we went to see Iron Man, which was a very cool movie (I have always loved me some Robert Downey Jr., no matter how much of a junkie he's been). Cole is the sweetest, funniest and most loving boy I know. He really is just a happy baby. Even when he is being a little crank, I can make a funny noise or a funny face and he smiles while he is boo hooing. He cracks me up on a daily basis and I appreciate that so much. It is so hard having Travis gone for so long and if Cole wasn't such a goofy sweetface, it would be so much harder. He finds pleasure in the simple things...

Travis and I are both big dorky kids, so I know we will have lots of fun with our little goober as he gets older. Eventually he''ll think we're lame but I know we'll have tons o' fun in the meantime!! I love my sweet boy!!

Daddy's home!!

At least for a few days:) But we are SO happy to have him home!! Cole LOVES his dad!! I love that Cole remembers him and is so happy to see him when he comes home. I think babies know alot more than we give them credit. Here are a few pics of fun times with daddy!!

BATH TIME!!

He gets SO excited when I say it's time for "BATH TIME"!! I LOVE this tub! I feel so less guilty filling up this tub for less than 2 minutes vs 5-10 minutes to fill up the whole tub for his tiny (yet chunky) butt:) I also love that he can sit up so well. His butt doesn't float away as much as it used to and he's better at balancing himself. I love when he smiles for the camera!!


Two of the signs I have been showing Cole are Yellow & Duck, so every time I give him this in the tub I sign yellow duck. Who knows if any of it is sinking in but I like doing it and he loves his yellow duck.


Splashing makes him SO excited!! He doesn't mind getting it in his face now, so he splashes even harder.


This is the view I normally see during bath time. He likes chewing on the side of the tub and hitting the porcelain. I love his chunky butt!!

Teeth!!

I FINALLY got a picture of the little buggers (if you click on the picture it will make it really big and you can see them really well. You can also see the food that I missed cleaning above his eye and lip...he takes after his aunt Lou). Usually he's sticking out his tongue covering them up. He's been really great overall through his first teething. Just a couple nights of waking up hurting. The one on the right broke through first and the one on the left just broke through today. He's a champ!! He was biting on my leg tonight before his bath and when I said "OW" he laughed and did it again. He's too funny:) My silly boy.

He's CRAWLING!!!

I can't believe he's crawling!! He's getting too big too fast!! I'm so proud of him though. He did it for the 1st time yesterday at work and my dad made me bring him over to prove it. I'm glad he got it on video. I'm still trying to find a new camcorder. He seems too tiny to be crawling. Such a big boy!! There goes another thing that Travis has missed:( I need to get on baby proofing my house ASAP!!!
